【摘要】:Predictionsofneutronradiationeffectsonpressurevesselsteelsareconsideredinthedesignoflight-watermoderatednuclearpowerreactors.Changesinsystemoperatingparametersoftenaremadethroughouttheservicelifeofthereactorvesseltoaccountforradiationeffects.Duetothevariabilityinthebehaviorofreactorvesselsteels,asurveillanceprogramiswarrantedtomonitorchangesinthepropertiesofactualvesselmaterialscausedbylong-termexposuretotheneutronradiationandtemperatureenvironmentofthereactorvessel.Thispracticedescribesthecriteriathatshouldbeconsideredinplanningandimplementingsurveillancetestprogramsandpointsoutprecautionsthatshouldbetakentoensurethat:(1)capsuleexposurescanberelatedtobeltlineexposures,(2)materialsselectedforthesurveillanceprogramaresamplesofthosematerialsmostlikelytolimittheoperationofthereactorvessel,and(3)thetestsyieldresultsusefulfortheevaluationofradiationeffectsonthereactorvessel.ThemethodologytobeusedinestimationofneutronexposureobtainedforreactorvesselsurveillanceprogramsisdefinedinGuideE482,whichestablishesthebasestobeusedtoevaluateboththedesignandfutureconditionofthereactorvessel.Thedesignofasurveillanceprogramforagivenreactorvesselmustconsidertheexistingbodyofdataonsimilarmaterialsinadditiontothespecificmaterialsusedforthatreactorvessel.Theamountofsuchdataandthesimilarityofexposureconditionsandmaterialcharacteristicswilldeterminetheirapplicabilityforpredictingradiationeffects.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresfordesigningasurveillanceprogramformonitoringtheradiation-inducedchangesinthemechanicalpropertiesofferriticmaterialsinthebeltlineoflight-watermoderatednuclearpowerreactorvessels.Thispracticeincludestheminimumrequirementsforthedesignofasurveillanceprogram,selectionofvesselmaterialtobeincluded,andascheduleforevaluationofmaterials.1.2Thispracticewasdevelopedforalllight-watermoderatednuclearpowerreactorvesselsforwhichthepredictedmaximumfastneutronfluence(E>1MeV)attheendofthedesignlifetime(EOL)exceeds1x1017n/cm2(1x1021n/m2)attheinsidesurfaceofthereactorvessel.1.3Thispracticeappliesonlytotheplanninganddesignofsurveillanceprogramsforreactorvesselsdesignedandbuiltaftertheeffectivedateofthispractice.PreviousversionsofPracticeE185applytoearlierreactorvessels.1.4Thispracticedoesnotprovidespecificproceduresformonitoringtheradiationinducedchangesinpropertiesbeyondthedesignlife,buttheproceduredescribedmayprovideguidancefordevelopingsuchasurveillanceprogram.Note18212;Theincreasedcomplexityoftherequirementsforalight-watermoderatednuclearpowerreactorvesselsurveillanceprogramhasnecessitatedtheseparationoftherequirementsintothreerelatedstandards.PracticeE185describestheminimumrequirementsforasurveillanceprogram.PracticeE2215,"StandardPracticefortheEvaluationofSurveillanceCapsulesfromLight-WaterModeratedNuclearPowerReactorVessels"describestheproceduresfortestingandevaluationofsurveillancecapsulesremovedfromasurveillanceprogramasdefinedinthecurrentorpreviouseditionsofPracticeE185.Anotherstandardguideforsupplementingexistinglight-watermoderatednuclearpowerreactorvesselsurveillanceprogramsisunderpreparation.AsummaryofthemanymajorrevisionstoPracticeE185sinceitsoriginalissuanceiscontainedinAppendixX1.
