【摘要】:ThistestmethodcoversaprocedureformakingacomparativeevaluationofthequenchingspeedcharacteristicsofpetroleumfluidsusedinthequenchingofmetalsbymeansoftheMagneticQuenchometer.Note1-AcomparisonmethodfortestingthehardenabilityofsteelisTestMethodA255.Note2-AnadditionalcomparisonmethodforevaluationofthequenchingspeedcharacteristicsofpetroleumfluidsusedinthequenchingofmetalsisTestMethodD6200.Thistestmethodprovidesameasureofchangesinoilchemistryduetocontamination,baseoildegradation,andadditivedrag-outduringuse.Thistestmeasureschangesinthequenchingspeedcharacteristicsofpetroleumfluidsatthehightemperature(354?C).Thistestmethoddoesnotreliablypredictmetallurgicalperformance.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
